The IPE Real Estate Global Awards 2026 entry process will open in December 2025.
The Judging Process
The IPE Real Estate Global Awards judging panel comprises leading investment consultants, academics, and former pension fund executives from around the world, each selected for their regional knowledge and/or specific area of expertise. Up to 45 judges may participate in the process.
Judging follows a two-stage review process across all categories. Judges use IPE’s secure online entry system to review and score submissions, with each panel including at least four judges. For the Outstanding Industry Contribution category, all judges are invited to vote on the shortlisted candidates or select the Editor’s Choice.
Stage One
Each judge reads and scores the entries using a 20-point matrix, assessing submissions against their peers on a national, regional, and global basis. The average of these scores determines the initial rankings for each category.
Stage Two
In the second stage, IPE works closely with the Chair of Judges, following a defined methodology to review scores, resolve close results, and confirm final rankings.
Conflicts of Interest
Given the nature of the industry, conflicts of interest may occasionally arise. We trust our judges to act with integrity and ensure such conflicts do not influence their assessments. Where a significant conflict emerges, the judge will recuse themselves from evaluating that entry. In such cases, the judge’s score is replaced with the average score from the remaining panel members.
Finality of Decisions
The judges’ decisions are final. IPE does not permit any correspondence or contact between judges and entrants and/or sponsors.
