Sara Rutledge is a Founder and Chief Economist at SRR Consulting. SRR is a real estate research services firm. She has 27 years' experience as a real estate economist and forecaster with a broad range of industry disciplines, from brokerage services and data providers to private equity investors. She was previously a Managing Director and Head of Global real estate research for StepStone Group. Rutledge has also served as the Managing Director of real estate products for a data science start-up, Director of Research at the National Council for Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries, and a Regional Director of research at CBRE. She also spent eight years on Invesco Real Estate’s research team, leading US property market forecasts and the global macroeconomic outlook. She has published real estate performance research in Business Economics and co-authored a Real Estate Research Institute-funded paper. In addition to her CRE volunteer efforts, she is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and National Association for Business Economics. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration with economics minor and Master of Science in applied economics at the University of North Texas.
