Digital Infrastructure

Rapid internet growth and the shift from offline to online across all sectors and demographics has led to exponential growth in demand for network services and data centres. The World Economic Forum estimates the combined global value of digital transformation to society and industry will exceed $100trn by 2025. This growth in digital infrastructure promises opportunity for significant investment in sustainability. Using a green data centre as a case study, this presentation will discuss the opportunities available to investors.

Pathways to Renewable Energy Assets

A low yield environment puts pressure on expected returns, increasing the likelihood of underfunding to take place. Today, investments in renewable energy assets continue to deliver positive, low correlated cash yields and attractive long-term returns as institutional investors look for long term, stable, uncorrelated cash flows to match their liabilities. This presentation identifies several barriers for smaller solvency investors to invest in this growing renewables space: access, transaction cost, know-how and tradability and methods for overcoming them.

Investing in Energy Transition

EU sets ambitious targets regarding the reduction of GHG emissions as power generation from renewable energy sources is set to reach 40% in 2030. Beyond mainstream wind and solar projects, significant investments are necessary in storage facilities as well as decarbonisation of the mobility sector. This presentation shows different ways to invest in energy transition – from the decarbonising of Poland’s energy mix to financing the production of green fuels for maritime transport or the deployment of electrical cars charging stations for supermarket chains.

10:45 AM
Electrification of Public Transportation Infrastructure

Transportation currently accounts for nearly 25 per cent of Europe’s greenhouse gas emissions, making it a prime target for technological improvements that can reduce emissions and combat climate change. The electrification of the transportation sector represents one of the highest impact strategies to help achieve that goal. In this session, CapMan Infra delves into recent innovations that have enabled the acceleration of this trend, highlighting examples in the rod and maritime transportation sector.
