Getting round Munich
Trains
Lines S1 and S8 of Munich's eight line rapid urban train network, known as the S-Bahn, connect both terminals of Munich Aiprot with a number of stations in the city centre dialy between 4:00 and 1:00. Trains run every 10 minutes and the journey to the Munich central station – Hauptbahnhof – takes 40 minutes. A one-way ticket costs €11.60.
Underground
Munich's underground system is known as the U-Bahn and consists of five lines that run from 4:15 am to 1 am, with trains running every 5 to 10 minutes. The closest U-Bahn station to the Munich Marriott Hotel is Nordfriedhof on the U6 line. The hotel is about 10 minutes by foot from there. Prices range from €2.90 for a single ticket covering one zone.
Taxis
A taxi from Munich Airport to the city centre is usually around €65 and takes about 40 minutes.
