Lars Jensen
Chief City Architect, City of Copenhagen
Lars Jensen is the Chief City Architect for the City of Copenhagen, holding this position since September 2024. He works to shape a more liveable and sustainable city in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. He led the team of advisors working on the urban development project in Copenhagen's North Harbor, the largest urban development project in Northern Europe for 15 years. He has also held positions as an external examiner and teacher at the architecture schools in Copenhagen and Aarhus, as well as at the University of Copenhagen. He is appointed as an expert judge by the Danish Architect Association and has participated in large and complex urban development competitions in this capacity. He led Sleth Architects’ office in Copenhagen. As an advisor, Jensen worked for the Municipality of Copenhagen and the Port and City Development, the largest urban developer in Copenhagen, as well as other municipal and governmental organisations in Denmark and abroad.
