Clemens Schaefer is Global Head of Real Estate APAC & EMEA at DWS Real Estate GmbH. He joined the Company in 1998 and has more than 25 years of expertise in real estate investment management. During his career, Schaefer was responsible for more than 20€ bn of transaction activity and has built several major separate account relationships with institutional clients for DWS. He was previously Head of Portfolio Management and Chief Investment Officer for Real Estate in Europe. Schaefer also serves as Chairman of the Real Estate Committee of the German Federal Association of Investment and Asset Management. He has a Master of Science in Real Estate & Economics from University of Wisconsin-Madison and University of Freiburg; Real Estate Economist from EBS University of Business and Law, Oestrich-Winkel.
