Frans Heijbel is Head of International Real Assets at Alecta. The value of Alecta’s total real estate portfolio amounts to circa €13bn, which is equivalent to 11 % of overall assets. The international portfolio, which is concentrated on Europe and the US, accounts for €8bn. Before his current role, Heijbel spent four years as Head of Investment at Alecta’s Swedish real estate business between 2013-2016. He has more than 20 years’ experience in the real estate and financial sectors, working in both Stockholm and London. He holds an MSc in Real Estate Finance and Economics from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
