The IPE Conference & Awards brings together senior pension fund professionals, institutional investors and industry experts for a programme combining peer discussion, thought leadership, networking and the annual IPE European Pension Fund Awards. It is one of the largest annual gatherings of pension funds in Europe. 

Pre-conference discussions and networking
The programme begins the afternoon before the main conference with a Future Leaders Roundtable for in-house pension fund professionals aged 40 and under, alongside an invitation-only Investor Forum for senior investment staff. Both formats are designed to encourage peer-to-peer discussion, while the evening concludes with welcome drinks for conference delegates. 

Full-day conference
The main conference combines keynote addresses, expert presentations, panel discussions and debates focused on the major issues shaping European pensions and institutional investment. Topics range from geopolitics and future asset allocation to AI, changing capital flows, stewardship and the natural economy, bringing together pension fund perspectives with wider market expertise. 

Workshops and concurrent sessions
Alongside the main-stage programme, delegates can take part in parallel workshops and concurrent sessions covering specific investment and pension themes in greater depth. These smaller formats add an interactive element to the event and allow delegates to tailor parts of the programme to their interests. 

Networking throughout the event
Registration coffee, dedicated networking breaks, lunch and the welcome reception provide regular opportunities for delegates to meet and continue conversations outside the formal sessions. For sponsors, these moments create valuable opportunities to engage with senior professionals from across Europe’s pension fund community. 

Evening reception and awards
The conference is followed by a drinks reception, dinner and the IPE European Pension Fund Awards ceremony. With more than 40 categories, the awards recognise excellence and innovation across countries, regions and investment strategies, while providing further opportunities for delegates, speakers and sponsors to connect in a celebratory setting.
