Björn Ásgrímsson is Senior Risk and Pension Policy Analyst at Central bank of Iceland. Prior to the merger of the Financial Supervisory Authority (FSA) and the Central Bank, Ásgrímsson's assignments at the Authority were investment compliance and actuarial evaluation between 2008 and 2014. Ásgrímsson was a pension fund board member from 2003 until joining the FSA in 2008. He has held several management positions in the private sector. He has spoken at Icelandic and international conferences and seminars. Ásgrímsson has also written articles on pensions and participated in several research projects. He has been an active delegate at the OECD´s working party of private pension and the international organisation of pension supervisors, including working in Paris. Ásgrímsson holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering from the Technical University in Linköping, Sweden.
