IPE ESG Global Forum 2022: Focus on Biodiversity

Urgent. Fundamental. Existential.

IPE’s latest ESG Global Forum virtual seminar provides a forum for investors to tackle the uncertainty surrounding biodiversity, natural capital and ecosystem services as they relate to investment portfolios.

The evidence shows its importance: $44trn (€39trn) of economic value generation - over half the world’s total GDP - is moderately or highly dependent on nature and its services.1 The rise in initiatives, working groups and collaborations further indicate its rise on the global policy and financial agenda.

What does this mean for investors? Following the introduction of article 29 in France, and upcoming disclosure requirements in SFDR and the EU taxonomy, is biodiversity next on the regulatory agenda? How can investors best understand, measure and manage the financial and non-financial impact of investments?

The IPE ESG Global Forum 2022: Focus on Biodiversity, Natural Capital & Ecosystem Services seminar on Thursday 28 April brings together expert stakeholders and addresses key issues in this critical area.
