Eva Cheng is Director at APG Asset Management. She joined in 2019 and is responsible for regional real estate portfolio management in APAC including portfolio construction and allocation, spearheading strategy reviews, portfolio monitoring and investment proposals evaluations. She is also the APAC lead of the global analytics function, building up and innovating the capabilities of the firm. She is a member of the Investment Committee and Asia Management team. She has over 28 years of industry experience through various cycles, about 20 years of which in portfolio management in global investing companies. Prior to APG, she worked in AIG Global Real Estate since 2005, which was subsequently sold to Invesco in 2011. In AIG, she covered portfolio management and product development in APAC for the insurer’s portfolio and 3rd-party funds, working closely with the US headquarters. In Invesco, she was a key party in building up and evolving portfolio management capability of institutional funds and accounts in APAC, developing new products and servicing global clients. She is currently Vice Chair of ANREV Performance Measurement Committee, championed the development of ANREV ODCE Index. She is also a member of RICS and CIPM, with MSC in Finance (Dean’s List) from Chinese University of Hong Kong and BSc. from the University of Hong Kong.
