Manfredi Catella is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of COIMA, a specialist in the investment, development and management of Italian real estate assets, focused on delivering an ESG impact. COIMA Holding controls the operating companies including COIMA REM, development and property manager that in 50 years has developed and managed properties for over 5 million square meters; COIMA SGR, investment & asset manager that manages 40 real estate funds with over 13€bn of investments; COIMA HT, which operates in the technological field to support the digital enabling of physical spaces. The corporate framework is completed by COIMA RES, a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) founded in 2015 and listed on the Italian Stock Exchange from 2016 to 2022. Catella was Country Head at Hines from 2001 – 2015, dealing with all Italian operations including the development in collaboration with COIMA of Porta Nuova, one of the most important urban regeneration projects in Europe, which he still manages today. After an important entrepreneurial step, taking over the control of Hines Italia SGR (which became COIMA SGR) and leading COIMA RES on the Stock Exchange in 2016 - Catella coordinates the work of the COIMA group, bringing it today to be one of the most active companies in sustainable urban regeneration and main developer in Italy. COIMA currently manages capital on behalf of over 100 institutional investors including primary sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, insurance companies and foundations.
