Sara Rutledge

Sara R. Rutledge is the Founder and Chief Economist of SRR Consulting. SRR Consulting provides tailored research services to real estate firms, such as market analysis, investment strategy, and property research briefs. She has a diverse, twenty-five-year career in real estate research and economics, working with data providers, brokerage services and investment managers. She was previously Managing Director and Head of Global Market Research at StepStone Group Real Estate, where she led the macroeconomic and private equity real estate performance outlook. She also built the bi-annual House Views process and related content. Her previous roles include real estate product development and marketing for a data science start-up and research leadership at the National Council for Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries. She has published real estate performance research in Business Economics and co-authored a Real Estate Research Institute-funded paper.
