Matt Hershey is Partner at Hodes Weill & Associates. Hershey responsibilities include coordinating the firm’s Marketing and Distribution efforts globally, growing its EMEA business and working with institutional investors on Hodes Weill offerings and transactions. He is a member of the firm’s Operating Committee. Hershey has been involved in institutional real estate and real assets investment management for 27 years. His experience spans the major and emerging asset types across real estate, infrastructure, and natural resources. Capital structures have included funds, programmatic joint ventures, project finance and corporate recapitalisations and restructurings. He has worked with institutional and private wealth investors from North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific on assets and strategies throughout those regions in highly structured cross-board investment vehicles. From 2006 to 2012, he was a leading member in the team that started and grew of Brookfield’s third-party asset management business, ending his tenure as a Senior Vice President. Starting in 2000, Hershey joined Tishman Speyer and worked in their leasing and acquisitions groups before being a founding member of their equity capital markets team.
