Martin Towns
Deputy Global Head of Real Estate, M&G Real Estate
Martin Towns is Deputy Global Head of Real Estate at M&G Real Estate. He is responsible, alongside the Head of Real Estate, for the business’ overall strategic direction and growth. He has direct oversight of all internal client global mandates, Long Income real estate funds and third party separate accounts. Towns has more than 20 years’ experience in real estate investment management, including 13 years at M&G in various fund and business management positions. He started his career at Jones Lang LaSalle/LaSalle Investment Management. He was previously at Close Brothers investment bank, responsible for establishing and managing a series of property funds in the UK and Europe. He has a BLE (Hons) in Land Economy from the University of Aberdeen and holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC). He is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Investment Property Forum (IPF).
