Sajjan Gohel is International Security Director at the Asia-Pacific Foundation. He is also Visiting Teacher at the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE). Gohel is the Editor for NATO’s first-ever Counter-Terrorism Reference Curriculum (CTRC) which combined the expertise of academia as well as law enforcement and defence practitioners. As part of NATO's Defence Education Enhancement Programme (DEEP) Gohel serves as the Chairman of NATO DEEP's Global Threats Analysis Group (GTAG) and is the host of NATO's podcast series, DEEP Dive. Gohel’s research is case-study driven and he has fieldwork experience in 25 countries. He has provided expert witness testimony to numerous political standing committees on the evolving challenges and threats in Afghanistan-Pakistan, North Africa and the Middle East. He has appeared as a guest analyst for the international news media as well as providing analysis to the print media. Gohel is the author of the book, “Doctor, Teacher, Terrorist: The Life and Legacy of Al-Qaeda Leader Ayman al-Zawahiri” published by Oxford University Press.
