Christian Daumann

Christian Daumann is Vice President, Investments, Germany, at Ivanhoé Cambridge. He is responsible to roll out our pan-European strategy and grow their real estate investments in Germany, focussing on asset classes office, logistics, residential and mixed - use opportunities. Daumann has more than 26 years of experience in commercial real estate investing, asset management, fund management and distressed debt investing. He started his career at Helaba commercial bank, before joining Morgan Stanley in 2006, where he served as Vice President in charge of real estate asset management of the core funds in Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and Austria, he was in charge of distressed debt investments and work out. From 2008 to 2012, he headed Cerberus-owned LNR Group in Germany and grew its affiliated Hatfield Philips Special Servicing platform to €4.5b under management. Concurrently, he was a board member of stock - listed Anterra AG where he was in charge of Real Estate Investments and Asset Management. Subsequently, Daumann became Executive Board Member at German-British CR Investment Management and helped expand the group’s activities into the fields of underwriting, advisory and loan servicing on a European scale. From 2015 to 2018, he was Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer at Hamburg Trust, a Colony Capital co-owned investment manager, where he oversaw all real estate investments and asset management, focusing on office, residential and retail investments. He graduated from the University of Bayreuth and holds two state examinations in law.
