Ali Otmar
Senior Partner and Head of Investments, Tristan Capital
Ali Otmar is senior Partner, Head of Investments at Tristan Capital Partners LLP. He is responsible for all the investment activity across both fund strategies. Otmar has over 20 years track record in Europe and has been responsible for underwriting, due diligence, negotiating and structuring over 70 investments with a total equity commitment of c. €2.5 bn. He previously worked for seven years in Citigroup’s real estate investment businesses for direct real estate assets as well as NPL portfolios. He was at Merrill Lynch’s Real Estate Principal Investments group and its successor, Peakside Capital, for five years, where he was responsible for structuring, raising and managing two real estate private equity funds on behalf of third-party investors, as well as the firm’s investment activity on its own account. Otmar joined Tristan in March 2011, where he is responsible for the origination and execution of new investments in excess of €3.5 bn on behalf of funds which invest in Core+ and Value-Add/Opportunistic investment opportunities on a pan-European basis. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Chicago.
