Michael Zerda is Co-Chief Investment Officer, Europe and Head of European Debt and Value-Add Strategies at LaSalle. He is responsible for LaSalle’s higher octane equity strategies and real estate private lending platform. Zerda has 21 years’ experience investing in Europe and the US, across a wide variety of real estate asset classes, and spanning private credit, distressed debt, platform investing, as well as direct and corporate private equity investing. He returned to LaSalle in 2021, having previously worked with LaSalle between 2009-2015 to oversee the set-up and growth of its debt and special situations platform. He worked in the real estate divisions of Blackstone, where he was Head of Europe for Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies, Merrill Lynch, and Goldman Sachs. He received a BA in Finance from the Neely School of Business at Texas Christian University, where he graduated with honours.
