Neil Fatharly is the Managing Consultant of GHV Consulting, an advisory firm delivering insights and solutions for European based fund managers on institutional distribution, product and marketing strategies. He has over 25 years’ experience in the institutional asset management industry, most recently as Head of Product Marketing at T Rowe Price. Prior to this he was Global Head of Client Strategy at Standard Life Investments, covering all key institutional markets and consultant relationships, including responsibility for the largest 30 clients who collectively had USD65bn under management. Fatharly also created the institutional client platform for the global top 20, M&G Real Estate manager, with responsibility for Europe and Asia. He worked at KPMG as part of the Global Investment Management Leadership Team and was co-Head of the European hedge fund practice. Earlier in his career, he worked at Nikko Asset Management. During his career, he has held a number of advisory board and NED positions, namely Chair of Dalgety Bay Capital and the Asset Management Research Board at City University, as well as being heavily involved in AREF, INREV and the PLSA trade associations, covering ESG and institutional governance issues. He has been a regular guest lecturer on the INSEAD MBA course covering asset management and is currently a Visiting Fellow at SAID Business School (Oxford University). He is an accredited UK iNED.
