Global Head, AXA IM Alts and CEO, AXA IM - Real Assets
Isabelle Scemama is Global Head, AXA IM Alts and CEO, AXA IM - Real Assets,
where she is responsible for defining and executing the strategy of AXA IM’s ¤168bn
alternative business unit in addition to overseeing its day-to-day management. AXA
IM Alts employs over 750 people located in 16 offices, serving the needs of more than
400 clients globally. She also sits on AXA IM – Real Assets’ Investment Committee and
chairs the Real Assets Management Board. Scemama joined AXA IM - Real Assets in
2001 to develop its third-party business. She notably launched respectively in 2005
and 2013 the CRE and infrastructure debt lending platforms before assuming
responsibility of AXA IM - Real Assets’ full fund management activity. She was
appointed CEO of AXA IM – Real Assets in 2017 and Global Head of AXA IM Alts
in 2020. Scemama has more than 25 years’ experience in the alternatives asset
management industry, 19 of which were gained at AXA IM.
