Marcus Cieleback
Chief Urban Economist, Patrizia
Marcus Cieleback is Chief Urban Economist of PATRIZIA and a member of its investment committee. He focuses on risk-return based analysis, the comparison of European
and global real estate markets and the development of models for forecasting the
commercial and residential markets to develop individual investment strategies,
especially in the institutional residential sector. Cieleback is a frequent speaker at
international conferences and the author of various international journal publications.
He is additionally Co-Chair of the European residential council of ULI and a member
of the German Society of Property Researchers. Before joining PATRIZIA, he worked
for Eurohypo as Head of Research and MEAG, the asset management company of
Munich Re Group. He studied economics at the University in Freiburg and the London
School of Economics and completed his doctorate at the University of Bayreuth in
Real Estate Finance.
