Stanimira Milcheva is an associate professor in real estate and infrastructure finance at University College London (UCL). She has a PhD from the University of Regensburg and MSc and BSc degrees from the University of Mannheim.Her research focuses on the institutional dynamics within the real estate and infrastructure markets. Currently, she is the Chair of the sustainable housing group at the Bartlett School of Construction and Project Management at UCL. She has provided expertise in real estate, affordable housing and infrastructure for industry and policy makers such as G15, the National Housing Federation, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Welsh Government, Kent County Council, and Vivid Economics, among others. Milcheva has published in over 20 highly ranked peer-reviewed academic journals in the fields of finance, urban economics, real estate and economics, such as Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, Research in International Business and Finance, Journal of Macroeconomics, Regional Science and Urban Economics, Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, Journal of Housing Economics. Her research has received competitive research and industry awards by Real Estate Research Institute, RICS, Homer Hoyt Institute, Cushman and Wakefield and the University of Reading Research Endowment Trust Fund.
