Sophie van Oosterom is Global Head of Real Estate at Schroders Capital, where she has responsibility for leading the growth strategy of the business and ultimately delivering investment performance to clients. She chairs the real estate management committee and investment committee. Prior to joining Schroders in 2021, van Oosterom was Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of EMEA for CBRE Global Investors, and has held positions at Lehman Brothers Private Equity Real Estate, as well as in investment banking with JP Morgan and Barings. She is a Governing Trustee of the Urban Land Institute and has an MSc in Economics cum laude from the University of Amsterdam.
