Robert-Jan Foortse is Managing Director European Real Estate and member of the Investment Committee at APG. He joined APG (then ABP) in December 2002. From 2003-2007 he was responsible for all APG’s real estate investments in the Asia/Pacific region, both in listed property securities as well as non-listed private real estate funds. He gradually transferred responsibilities to the newly formed team in Hong Kong, which allowed him to assume a leading position in the European property team from early 2008. He has more than 30 years of experience in real estate. He was previously Director of Real Estate Corporate Finance at Arthur Andersen. Foortse holds a master’s degree in financial economics from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a masters degree in Real Estate from the University of Amsterdam.
