As CEO of LaSalle Investment Management Canada, John McKinlay is responsible for all aspects of the group’s Canadian operations. He has over 20 years of experience in institutional real estate. During his career he has been involved in over CAD8bn of real estate transactions and led over CAD5bn over the last six years. Prior to joining LaSalle, he most recently served as Executive Vice President of Acquisitions for Canada at Bentall Kennedy in Toronto, managing a team covering the entire Canadian market that originated over CAD5bn in transactions from 2011 to 2016, comprised of acquisitions, dispositions and mixed-use development projects. Prior to Bentall Kennedy, he held senior positions at GE Capital in Toronto where he was responsible for real estate asset management and transaction activity. McKinlay earned a juris doctorate and a master of business administration from Willamette University, and a bachelor of arts from Boston University.
