Clemens Schaefer is Managing Director and CIO Head of Institutional Portfolio Management Real Estate, Europe at DWS. Based in Frankfurt, he joined the company in 1998 and has 21 years of expertise in real estate investment management. During his career, Schaefer has been responsible for close to €10bn of transaction activity and has built several major separate account relationships with institutional clients of Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management. He holds a BA and a master‘s in economics from University of Freiburg (Dipl. Volkswirt) and a master of science in real estate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
