Academic Delivery Manager, UCEM
David Hunt is Academic Delivery Manager for University College of Estate Management. He joined UCEM in September 2015, principally as a tutor on the valuation modules, before moving into education management. He is programme leader for the undergraduate and postgraduate access programmes. He is also the academic delivery manager for all first-year bachelor modules and teaches on various property investment and appraisal courses. He has over 12 years of commercial real estate experience mostly gained in Central and Eastern Europe. As a Chartered Surveyor, he specialised in valuations. He qualified while working with the UK government’s Valuation Office Agency before moving to DTZ’s Ukraine office. He later joined Cushman & Wakefield’s Romania and Poland teams. He has worked on highest and best-use development appraisal studies, valuations for secured lending, and has providing advice to aid investment decision-making. His professional experience covers a broad geographical area, ranging from the Baltics to the Balkans to Central Asia. Hunt has studied with UCEM, gaining a postgraduate diploma in Property Investment. He also has an MSc in Infrastructure Planning and Sustainable Development. Current research interests include valuation for expropriation (compulsory purchase), compensation in developing countries and the application of data analysis tools for valuation and investment.
