Matthias Hünlein is Managing Director at Tishman Speyer. He joined Tishman Speyer in 2005 and is responsible for client relationships and capital raising activities in Europe, with a focus on Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Scandinavia. A lawyer by training, he worked within the legal department at Deutsche Bank before transitioning to the business side. He was previously a Managing Director with DB Real Estate, an investment subsidiary of Deutsche Bank, where he was responsible for product development and relationship management for German institutional clients. During his time with DB Real Estate, he played an important role in the formation of Germany’s first large-scale listed residential company, which currently manages approximately 145,000 residential units. He earned a law degree from the University of Passau and holds the title of Assessor of Law.
