PSP Investments
PSP's forestry business impressed judges with a rare combination of scale, sophistication and genuine sector expertise. Gross forestry AUM of around C$5.8bn is spread across Canada, the US, New Zealand, BrazilĀ and Chile., using a mix of direct ownership, partnerships and operating structures.

Judges singled out the 390,000-acre US platform, the 2026 Washington acquisition and the integration of carbon, biodiversity and operational objectives as evidence that forestry is run as an active operating business rather than a passive land allocation.

Certification maintenance, Indigenous partnerships and the use of remote sensors to optimise operations added further weight, as did concrete disclosure on risk management. Panellists were particularly taken with the breadth of impact considered, sequestration, social outcomes and ecological effects across a genuinely global portfolio, and the willingness to measure both financial and non-financial performance, including health and safety.

Judges described the entry as impressive in both scale and approach, praising the embrace of technology as a driver of resilience and productivity across the portfolio.

Highly Commended
