Managing Partner, SLM Partners
Paul McMahon is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of SLM Partners, an asset management firm that uses investment capital to scale up regenerative farming and forestry. Founded in 2009, the firm has 750$m in assets and manages over 280,000 hectares of land worldwide via funds and separate accounts. SLM Partners invests in forestry and orchard crops in Europe, organic farming in the USA and mixed farming and carbon projects in Australia. McMahon leads the development of new strategies and sits on the Investment Committees of its funds and separate accounts. He was previously Vice-President at Climate Change Capital Ltd and an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company. He has worked as an advisor on food security to non-profits and the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation. He has published two books and numerous papers on sustainable food and forestry. He holds a PhD from Cambridge University and a BA from University College Dublin.
