Umberto Tamburrino is Managing Partner, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer, Europe at Sosteneo SGR SpA, part of Generali Investments. He is responsible for leadership of the firm and overseeing the investments in his region. He is a member of the Board of Directors and the Investment Committee.Tamburrino has almost three decades of experience in the renewable energy sector. He began his career as a project manager at Snamprogetti (ENI), overseeing large EPC contracts. He has held various leadership positions including Chief Executive Officer of Elliott Green Power, Chief Executive Officer of Antin Solar Investments and Co-Head of renewable energy principal investments at Deutsche Bank. He has also worked as an Infrastructure Banker at Citigroup and Credit Suisse and in project financing at UniCredit. He holds a MS cum laude in Aerospace Engineering from University Federico II and an MBA from Columbia Business School as a Fulbright scholar.
