Chair, Investment Research in Infrastructure Society
Tania Tsoneva is Chair at Investment Research in Infrastructure Society (IRIS), which she joined in 2021. She is a native Bulgarian speaker and started her career in corporate relationship management at ProCredit Bank (Bulgaria) JSC. She was previously at S&P Global Ratings, where she was most recently a director and lead analyst in the infrastructure ratings team with responsibility for issuers globally in the toll road, airport and rail sectors. Throughout her 14-year tenure within S&P, Tsoneva held several senior positions within the infrastructure and utilities team and served as the leading EMEA corporate hybrid specialist. She has focused on credit risk assessment, client relationship and criteria development for a range of infrastructure companies, including UK and European regulated water and network companies, as well as merchant and renewable generators. She has authored several articles on infrastructure and ESG-related topics. Tsoneva has a BSc in Business Administration and Politics and International Relations from the American University in Bulgaria and an MBA from Bayes Business School. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
