Partner and Head of Infrastructure, Actis
Glen Matsumoto is Partner and Head of Infrastructure at Actis. He joined Actis as partner in November 2016 to develop and lead a new infrastructure investment business for the firm. He was previously with Mission Energy Company, a global independent power developer based in California that was one of the early pioneers in the development of private power projects in emerging markets. At Mission Energy, he was on the deal team that developed and financed the first independent power project in Indonesia. He held positions with Macquarie, GE Capital and ABB. In 1994-1995, he was co-head of a new Project Finance Division at the Export-Import Bank of the United States and was deal team leader for 2$bn of investment in 8 emerging market infrastructure projects, including the first privately financed independent power project in Mexico. Matsumoto spent 8 years as head of the US infrastructure investment team for EQT and was one of the three founding partners of EQT’s infrastructure business. Matsumoto was a leader for raising and deployment of EQT’s first two infrastructure funds, EQT Infrastructure I at 1.2€bn and EQT Infrastructure II at 1.925€bn. Matsumoto has an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Rice University.
