Britta van Boven is Managing Director at Gasunie Deutschland. van Boven started working at Gasunie in 2003 and has held several management positions in the field of business development, regulation and strategy. She was previously Manager Commerce & Regulation at Gasunie Transport Services (GTS), the Dutch gas transmission system operator. She is a member of the management team of GTS she is responsible for taking care of the 160+ active customers that transport gas through the system and trade gas at TTF, regulatory aspects, market development and the advisory tasks related to reducing the production from the Groningen gas field. She is passionate about speeding up to reach an affordable, secure and carbon neutral energy supply and strives to get new perspectives and insights. van Boven is on the board of the pension fund at Gasunie (Stichting Pensionfonds Gasunie), a medium sized pension fund with about 4000 participants and 2.000 million in assets and is member of the pensions and communications committee. She is a graduate of the International Business School of the Hanzehogeschool Groningen and the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen/Energy Delta Institute where she studied Gas Business Management.
