Biff Ourso is Head of Real Assets at Nuveen, responsible for leading and developing the strategic direction and investments worth over USD20bn in agriculture, timberland, infrastructure and impact sectors. He is also a member of Nuveen’s management and global investment committees, as well as the investment committees for Nuveen’s farmland, timberland, and agribusiness and their accompanying investment funds. He serves or has served as a director on the board of several affiliated and unaffiliated real asset investment funds and companies. In prior roles at the firm, Ourso served as the portfolio manager for its farmland and timberland portfolios and supported the development of TIAA’s agricultural investment platform since its inception in 2007, helping it grow to over USD8bn. He also conducted privately placed debt underwriting and portfolio management, including a credit portfolio in excess of USD1bn. Ourso graduated with a BA in Economics from Davidson College where he was a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon and International Economics Honor Society. He is a CFA charterholder.
