Gary Vaughan-Smith is a founding partner and Chief Investment Officer of SilverStreet Capital, a London and African based asset management firm focusing on impact investment into the agricultural sector. Between 2001 and 2006, he was Head of the Alternative Investment Group at ABN AMRO Asset Management. Between 1990 and 2001, he was at Gartmore Investments, initially heading the quantitative investment team. He became Head of Gartmore’s global portfolio team in 1998. Vaughan-Smith is a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries. He holds a Master’s in finance from Cambridge University and a BSc (Hons) in mathematical statistics from the University of Cape Town.
