Josef Wöss is Head of Social Policy at the Austrian Federal Chamber of Labour. He is also a member of the Austrian Advisory Council for Economic and Social Affairs and a member of the EU Commission’s High Level Group of Experts on Pensions. The scope of his work and research encompasses the welfare state, demographic changes, old-age protection and financial social security. He has authored and co-authored numerous publications on these topics. Wöss studied law at Vienna University to degree level, and philosophy and politics at the Universities of Salzburg and Vienna.
