Maxime Cerutti

Maxime Cerutti was appointed Director of Social Affairs at Businesseurope in January 2012, with responsibility for a diverse portfolio of social affairs and labour market policy issues as well as the day-to-day management of the department. He also coordinates the body’s engagement as a social partner in the context of the European social dialogue. Cerutti joined Businesseurope in November 2007 as social affairs adviser. Prior to this, he worked between 2005 and 2007 as a policy officer at the European Youth Forum in Brussels. He started his professional career as an intern at the French ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he followed the work of the EU Council on Employment and Social Affairs. A graduate in European law and political science, Cerutti holds a master’s from Sciences Po Paris and a double law degree from the University of Bordeaux and the University of Canterbury in the UK.
