Lukasz Budzynski is the Global Head of Sanofi Pension Advisory, a corporate treasury unit with employees in Belgium, the UK and the US to support Sanofi group pension funds’ investments. As a chair or member of several fiduciary boards and investment committees he is directly involved in the management of DB, DC and savings plans with assets of more than €20bn. Although his core expertise lies in investments and governance, Budzynski also has significant experience in areas including regulations, accounting and plan design. Additionally, he is a director of a Belgian IORP set up by Sanofi to provide retirement benefits to group employees in several European countries on a cross-border basis. Budzynski co-founded the Cross-Border User Group (XBUG), a discussion group for multinational companies who have operational or near-operational cross-border pension plans. On behalf of XBUG, he served two terms on the Occupational Pension Stakeholders Group (OPSG) board at EIOPA. Before joining Sanofi he worked at PwC Germany in insurance audit. He is a CFA and FRM Charterholder.
