Pierre Sarrau is Managing Director at BlackRock and co-Head and Chief Investment Officer for Multi-Asset Strategies and Solutions and the Head of Active Investment for EMEA. He is a member of BlackRock's Global Operating Committee and EMEA Executive Steering Committee. Sarrau's service with the firm dates back to 2001, including his years with MLIM which merged with BlackRock in 2006. Prior to his current role, he was part of the risk and quantitative analysis group overseeing all multi-asset activities at the firm. He earned a Diplome d'Ingenieur from Ecole Centrale de Lyon combined with a diploma in mathematical statistics from Cambridge University in 1997, and a diploma in accounting and finance from the London School of Economics in 1998. He is a CFA charterholder.
