Robert Barić

Robert Barić is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences, Zagreb University (area of international relations and international security), where he has been a faculty member since February 2019. Barić was a member of the Croatian Armed Forces and holds a military rank of lieutenant colonel. During his military career he has been involved in key programs connected with process of Croatian defence reform and Croatian accession to NATO. As an expert representative from the Office of President he took part in preparations of key Croatian strategic documents. Barić was also involved in the defence management and modernization process and formulation of the Croatian security and defence policy. He has professional interests in issues connected with Euro-Asian security and primary security problems on the Balkans, development of the European defence capabilities (NATO and EU) and Russian security issues. Barić holds a BSc degree in defence studies (Faculty of Political Science, Zagreb University), MSc. degree in international security (Faculty of Political Science, Zagreb University), and Dr sc degree in international security/international relations (Faculty of Political Science, Zagreb University).
