Magnus Billing is CEO of Alecta, Sweden’s largest pension fund with some €92.2bn under management with 35,000 corporate clients and 2.6 million customers. Billing has been working in the financial industry since 2001. Prior to Alecta, he was CEO of NASDAQ Nordics where he was also Head of Nordic Fixed Income and Baltic Markets. Within NASDAQ he previously held the position as Chief Legal Counsel and Senior Vice President of NASDAQ Group, responsible for legal and market surveillance operations in Europe. Prior to the merger between NASDAQ and OMX, he was the General Counsel of OMX and led the negotiations around the consolidation of the OMX Nordic Exchanges. He was a member of the NASDAQ Listing Committee, Secretary of the Board of Directors of NASDAQ Nordic Foundation, and served as Director of the Federation of European Securities Exchanges, and as an Alternate Director of the Swedish Corporate Governance Code Board. He holds a degree in law from Stockholm University.
