Based in Munich, David Ironside is Chief Investment Officer of LaSalle Investment Management’s continental European business and Managing Director of LaSalle GmbH, responsible for investment performance, identifying trends and opportunities while seeking appropriate risk/return strategies for investment funds. Ironside joined LaSalle in 2001 and has been working in the real estate industry since 1983. Prior to LaSalle, he spent four years at Bayernfonds/Real I.S. AG, the subsidiary of Bayerische Landesbank, with responsibility for its real estate investments. Prior to that, he was with Jones Lang Wootton, advising national and international clients on purchase, sale, valuation, development and lease of commercial property as well as preparing detailed analysis and strategy recommendations for non-German investors. Ironside holds a bachelor’s of science degree with commendation in land economics from Paisley College of Technology and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
