Cornel Widmer is Managing Director and Head of Group Real Estate in the Investment Management department of Zurich Insurance Company. He has been Head of Group Real Estate since 2012, having joined the Zurich group in 2008. Zurich’s global real estate team manages USD 17bn focusing on direct investments in multiple sectors in core, core-plus and value-add strategies in Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific. Widmer has a master’s of science in real estate from CUREM/University of Zurich and a degree in architecture from St Gallen.
