Amy Borrus

Amy Borrus became Executive Director of the Council of Institutional Investors (CII) in July 2020, having joined CII in 2006 as deputy director. She served as interim executive director in 2015-2016 and sits on the boards of the CII Research and Education Fund and the Sinai Assisted Housing Foundation. She also serves on the Best Practice Principles Oversight Committee, which will monitor principles underpinning services of leading proxy advisory firms. Prior to CII, she was a correspondent for Businessweek magazine for more than 20 years. Her journalism career included multi-year assignments in London, Tokyo and Washington, DC. She earned an MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics and a BA in History and English from the University of Pennsylvania.
