Elizabeth Corley

Dame Elizabeth Corley is Chair of the Impact Investing Institute, an independent, non-profit organisation to accelerate the growth and improve the effectiveness of the impact investing market. She was CEO of Allianz Global Investors, initially for Europe then globally, from 2005 to 2016 and continues to act as a senior adviser. Prior to Allianz, she spent 11 years at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, was consultant and partner with Coopers & Lybrand, and worked in the life and pensions industry. She serves as a non-executive director for several firms and remains actively engaged in the investment management industry. Corley set up and chaired the FICC Standards Board and the Taskforce for the UK government on impact investing. She is an advisory council member for the AQR Asset Management Institute and a member of the 300 Club. She was named Most Influential Woman in Asset Management in 2009, CEO of the Year in 2011 and Most Influential Person in Asset Management in 2012. She won the Women in Investment Outstanding Achievement Award in 2018. She is a fellow of the UK’s CFA Society and a member of the Committee of 200, an organisation of the world’s most successful women business leaders. In 2016, she was awarded an honorary doctorate from the London Institute of Banking and Finance and an honorary fellowship from London Business School in 2019.
