Alberto Gomez-Reino

Alberto Gomez-Reino is Head of Institutional Asset Allocation at BBVA Asset management, responsible for corporate pension funds and institutional mandate investment management. He has more than 20 years’ investment experience. Previously, he headed the teams managing balanced funds, individual pension schemes and multi-asset funds. Before that, he worked at UBS Wealth Management as an asset allocation portfolio manager. Earlier in his career, he also worked as a third-party fund analyst and proprietary fixed income trader at Caja Madrid, and as a portfolio manager at Santander Asset Management and Europensiones. Areas of interest include alternative investments, open architecture, active versus passive management, portfolio construction and risk management. Gomez-Reino holds a degree in economic and business sciences, a master’s in financial markets from Carlos V Institute of the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid and is a CAIA Charterholder.
