Jaap van Dam

Jaap van Dam is Principal Director of Investment Strategy at PGGM and owner of VanDam Investment Advisory. At PGGM, he is the Investment Director responsible for further developing and benchmarking PGGM's investment practice. He is currently working on PFZW's Investment Strategy 2025. Van Dam has broad knowledge and experience on strategy, investment policy formulation, asset allocation and value chain design. Other current roles include Chairman of the VBDO, the Dutch Association of Investors for Sustainable Development, Chairman of European Chapter of the 300 Club and a member of the research committee of the International Centre for Pension Management (ICPM). In addition, he co-authored “Achieving Investment Excellence: A Practical Guide for Trustees of Pension Funds, Endowments and Foundations.” Van Dam holds a Master’s in finance from the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
