Lars Rohde

Central Bank of Denmark

Lars Rohde is Governor and of Danmarks Nationalbank, the central bank of Denmark, a role he assumed in 2013. In addition, he is Chair of the Board of Governors. Before this he served as CEO of ATP, Denmark’s national supplementary pension scheme from 1998 to 2013. ATP is one of Europe's largest pension providers and the ATP Group is responsible for the management of assets of more than €105.3bn. Rohde was a member of the executive board of the mortgage bank Realkredit Danmark from 1992 to 1997 and Deputy CEO from 1997 to 1998. Rohde has also been a board member of Copenhagen Stock Exchange and part-time lecturer at Copenhagen Business School. In his capacity of Governor of Danmarks Nationalbank and Chairman of The Systemic Risk Council, Rhode ensures that Danmarks Nationalbank meets its three main objectives: stable prices, safe payments and a stable financial system. He has an MSc in economics from Aarhus University.
